morepeas - the essentials

morepeas worked with Jetpack Industries from concept to production to bring their innovative all silicone on-the-go dishware for kids to market.

 

morepeas, founded by two moms who wanted a better snack solution for their kiddos decided that they were going to do something about it.

They knew they wanted silicone to be the material for its safety and durability. they had a clever (and patentable) idea for a modular system of cups, bowls, and lids. They looked at the market and saw drab colors on products their kids found boring and unengaging and knew they need to be fun and approachable but also durable and functional. They just needed help designing a product that could be made into reality

Jetpack industries started working with morepeas to create a best-in-the-market product that offers so many solutions for common kids eating challenges.

 

morepeas had experienced firsthand the mess a young child just learning to use dishes can make. They imagined a suction cup lid that could be used on the base of the cup and bowls to keep food from flying on the floor. Pairing that with a snack lid and sippy cup lid the set could solve so many on-the-go and meal-time messes.

  • Concept Rounds

    Working closely with morepeas we worked through concepts to lock on a first version to prototype.

  • Prove it

    For a product made out of silicone, an image cannot tell you how it will work, feel and look. you have to make it and prove it works

  • Test it

    The first round of prototypes taught us so much about the product…and how much we need to change it.

  • Repeat

    We went back to the drawing board as we wanted a simpler look, an easier-to-use locking system, and a smooth lip to have a better experience on both the cup and bowls.

 

The morepeas Essential cup, bowl, and lids allow parents to enjoy their time with their kids as much as their kids enjoy their favorite snacks and food

The set consists of an 8oz cup, a 4 oz bowl, and three lids. Inside each cup and bowl are volume markings to aid portion control, baking, or cooking in the dishes. The set comes in fun, bright colors that kids and parents love.

Each lid serves a different function: suction lid, snack lid, and sippy lid. The suction cup lid keeps food or beverages sealed inside when on top and when attached to the bottom and suctioned to a flat surface, it holds the containers firmly in place and prevents spills.

The snack lid has flexible panels to keep food in, allowing little fingers to grab a snack easily. This lid is also great for steaming food in the microwave and straining any excess liquid. The Sippy lid offer two options on the for drinking a soft sippy spout to drink from and a separate training straw.
The straw has a ring in the middle to prevent your little one from pulling it out.

An On-the-Go Solution

Refining the design to a modular set of lids, bases, and containers allows for a solution to the need for more easy-to-use, functional, and fun kids’ dishware.
